Recently we described that we added server monitoring for our customers. This allows us to pre-empt some potential problems before they happen. Our philosophy is that reports on what we have done shouldn’t just be available monthly but all the time. A bit like web statistics, all those other maintenance and security aspects are a constant and ongoing thing. Our approach to this is to use a plugin. In line with this philosophy not only do we have the logs in there, but we’ve recently added a useful server information page so that our customers can check it whenever they want. Here’s an example of ours.
We’ll add to this dashboard as time goes on, but we feel that it gives a fairly good overview of the health of your web hosting.
